Buffalo Bills players hold Q&A and meet-and-greet session with Daemen students

On October 4, the Lumsden Gym hosted Buffalo Bills players Lorenzo Alexander and Corbin Bryant. The panel was made possible through a partnership with Cru and Athletes in Action. Daemen student and volleyball player Katie McKrell interviewed Alexander and Bryant with questions submitted by other Cru members and individuals from the audience.

Alexander and Bryant focused on how their Christian faith plays a role in both their personal lives and their professional conduct. Both emphasized how their religious beliefs were instrumental in how they dealt with the pressures of being professional athletes.

A drawing was held at the end of the panel with one winner receiving an autographed Buffalo Bills football from Alexander and Bryant. After the panel and Q&A, the players were available to sign autographs and take photographs with the fans from the audience.

Cru (Christian campus ministry group) meets every Monday night in Rosary Hall at 8 p.m. According to their website, Athletes in Action “exists to build into the lives of the players, coaches and families of the Buffalo Bills by helping them use their unique platform to share the life-changing message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Daemen students and locals from the community attend the open panel and ask the players their questions.
