When the trees are beginning to bud their leaves, people are mowing their lawns and it’s starting to rain rather than snow, you know what that means? Summer is getting closer in Buffalo! It’s been an up and down winter this year, but we made it through another snowstorm!

 

As the weather turns warmer, everyone becomes eager with what to do during their free time while summer vacation is upon them. I live for the summers in Buffalo because there is always something exciting going on each week. Here are some of my favorite things to do during the summertime:

 

Food Truck Tuesdays:

 

I love to eat. Simple as that. When there is a day in Buffalo dedicated to eating from a variety of food trucks that are all in one spot, you know I’m going to be there! Food Truck Tuesdays are one of my favorite events to attend in the summer because not only are there a ton of food trucks lined up around Larkin Square, but there’s also live music weekly and activities going on around the square. Concerts at Darien Lake:

 

This summer, there are a variety of concerts lined up at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center. Whether you’re into country, rock, rap, or old school music, there is an artist/band coming to Darien Lake that will be of interest to you! Some performances include Zac Brown Band, John Mayer, Chance the Rapper, MatchBox Thirty & Counting Crows and so many others! This concert ground is also connected to Darien Lake Amusement Park, so you can start your day at Darien Lake, and then head over to the concert venue when you’re ready! https://www.darienlake.com/concerts
