Due to recent political complications, as well as the general needs of students, everybody should be aware of the resources at their disposal to help fight food insecurity.
An easily accessible resource is the Care Cupboard run by the HOPE Center, located in Dun Scotus 115 (DS115).
“It [the Care Cupboard] is a campus resource where you can find a variety of essential items, including non-perishable food, menstrual products, school supplies and more. Whether you’re facing a tight budget, a sudden need, or simply want to access these resources, the Care Cupboard is here to assist you,” Said The HOPE Center in their November Newsletter.
The Care Cupboard is currently accepting donations. You can donate by dropping off requested items at The Hope Center.

FeedMore WNY’s Pantry Locator can help students and community members locate food resources.
Hearts Harvest Food Pantry allows families and individuals to choose what they need once a month.
University Presbyterian Church’s Food Pantry, this resource serves zipcodes 14214, 14216, 14221, parts of 14223, 14226, 14260 and 14261.
The Tiger’s Den lets families enroll in the program to choose food once a month.
Barakah Muslim Charity provides a pantry, a community kitchen and monthly provisions, located in Rochester, NY.
Halal Serve, A Halal food program based in Canada. They also deliver to eligible individuals.
The Center for Jewish Life’s Kosher Food Pantry and Kosher Meals on Wheels, these resources supply kosher food to those who need it.
